Peavey is at again staying in tune with the times. The new apps are the AmpKit and AmpKit+, which work with the AmpKit LiNK interface – a high fidelity guitar interface for amplifier apps for any iPhone that you can take anywhere and jam with. The Free AmpKit Amp is models the Peavey ValveKing amp. Clean and very high gain lead channels are included.
The AmpKit+ is a paid app that includes many more options including the 3120 amp modeling and effects pedals. For add-ons, you can buy additonal amps, pedals, and mics. The AmpKit comes with 60+ predefined amp/pedal setups and users can create and save their own setups.
These apps also have robust recording capabilities. A unique feature call “re-amping” allows you to take a recording and re-record it using completely different amp and pedal settings and then dowload or publish it.
Key features included with the AmpKit LiNK are as follows.
- 1/4″ mono input jack for guitar, bass, or level signal sources
- 1/8″ stereo output for headphones, speaker, or PA system
- Works with most recording, processing, and tuning Apps
- Compatible with iPhone and iPad models
It also has a powered cross-talk reduction circuitry intended to elminated unwanted feeback. You’ll need the Free(AmpKit) or the $19.99 Version(AmpKit + Apps) form the App store to use you AmpKit LiNK. The AmpKit LiNK will go for $39.99 direct from Peavey retailers.
