I haven’t seen a ton of press on this, but Evenno has released a the Fingerist which is an adapter for iPhone and iPod Touch that allow you to play apps on a fretboard simulator. It has a built-in speaker that operates on 3-AA batteries with a claim of 6 hours of continuous use. It also includes a guitar strap, volume control, and a line out for a guitar amp.
