JamPlay.com – Now with Over 500 Hours of Lessons

Jamplay.com, one of the leading online guitar lesson sites, has announced that they now feature over 500 hours of video guitar lessons on their site. Full access to all lessons on their site costs $19.95. Over 40 new lessons are added monthly and there is an additional feature for members … a webcam option to interact with instructors.

There are a ton of lessons available online with YouTube and other sites, but JamPlay.com claims that their site offers professional lessons that are structured to learning guitar quickly and effectively. As for those that argue that in-person lessons are best, JamPlay co-founder Chris Dawson disagrees, “In-person lessons have certain perks, but with the increased speed of Internet connections users are able to interact directly with our instructors via webcam for up to 12 hours per day. When you couple this interaction with our 500 hours of lessons for just $19.95, it is easy to see why more and more users are hopping on the JamPlay bandwagon.”

Jamplay has over 45 instructors, some members can chose which instructors they are most comfortable with. With the speed of the internet these days, relatively low-cost of online lessons, and their convenience, they are a viable alternative to in-person visits which typically run $20 to $30 per half hour. In the end, I think it’s what ultimately works for the student to progress in learning what they want to play.
