Carlos Santana has recorded a cover album of what he terms “the da Vinci’s of guitar”. It will be released tomorrow, September 21st. I’m usually not a big fan of covers unless there done with a new twist and the covering artist’s imprints them with own unique sound … Van Halen’s “You Really Got Me” or “Dancing in the Street”.
Listen to the full version of Carlos and Pat Monahan from Train doing “Dance the Night Away”. What do you think? Is it just me or do I hear DLR in there?
