At 74, Buddy Guy is still going strong and is set to release his new album “Living Proof” on October 26, 2010. For the first time, Buddy collaborates with B.B. King on a track titled “Stay Around A Little Longer”. He also recorded a single with Carlos Santana, who just released his new album “Guitar Heaven“.
What I love about Buddy is that in the interviews he has done he seem to always tell it like it is. Like when he was asked what he considers himself “living proof” of? … “Do you know how many guys I started out with who just threw up both hands and quit?” he says. “My first wife said to me, ‘It’s me or the guitar,’ and I picked up my guitar and left. We still laugh about that. But I’m still picking away at it, I don’t know nothing else.”
