There are inexpensive ways of making sure that your guitar doesn’t fall out of the strap and go for ride. Dunlop makes replacement pins/screws that secure the strap to your guitar along with attachments for your existing strap. They go for around $12-$15.
Now, there’s an even simpler method that’s even less expensive. It a one-piece lock device that you put on over your strap holder once the strap’s in place.

So your looking for cheap guitar straps that are leather? I’ll cover a few in this post. Now, you could make your own if you have an old leather belt that’s long enough or get one from the thrift shop. Just punch holes in the leather to size it for you. You may find that anything that’s less than 2″ wide may dig into your shoulder after a while.
